Monday the 2nd of March i got invited by Hans Peter to spend a day together with him on his tugboat INA 2. I meet Hans Peter on a cold and snowy day on the docks of Copenhagen harbour and we got to talk about his work on the boat. Since that meeting have have thought many times about going out with him and experience this to me completely unknown world. So, on monday it happened at we sailed out of the harbour around noon. This particular day the boat had 4 different jobs to do, haul two barges and deliver cargo to a bulk carrier, and lastly pick up a captain on the dock and sail him to a crude oil tanker that was passing by in Øresund. All of these jobs Hans Peter handles him self. Everything from handling the boat, loading cargo, paperwork, tie the lines to connect the tugboat to the barges, unloading the cargo to the tanker, while the tanker is still moving. I was completely blown away by all of this and had such a great experience. Hans Peter and I got to talk about the history of the boat, life on the harbour, the long days, old times and all sorts of fun facts about some of the jobs he and the boat has carried out over the years. Thank you Hans Peter !!

June 2025 i visited Mykines in the Faroe Islands with 2 other photographers to photograph the puffins that live in large numbers on the steep cliff sides. Mykines can be a difficult place to get to because of the ever changing weather and wind conditions that makes the boat trip challenging. We spend nearly 3 days sitting on the edge of the cliffs and observed the birds fly in from the ocean to their burrows. Puffins are just so much fun to photograph and they since they get really close to you its possible to get some fantastic portraits of them in their environment.

Flateyri in the West Fjords in Iceland is a rough place during the winter months with its weather beaten buildings and harbour. I have stayed there several time and the mood and the buildings really inspired me so i spend a few hours walking around in the freezing cold with my Leica Q2.

Over the past 15 years I have been coming to Toronto 4-5 times a year because of work. I have seen the city change over the years. When ever possible I will always go for a long walk with my camera downtown when getting back from the office. Especially at night time the city is full of people and the lights of the big city just makes the motives line up ...

In the summer of 2022 I visited the Khutzemateen Provincial Park in British Columbia. The park is home to a large population of Grizzly Bear's and has very limited access for people to ensure the bears can live in peace.

Iceland is one of those places I can return to over and over again to absorb the wild and rugged landscape and ever changing weather - totally unpredictable ! For a landscape photographer Iceland is a dream but also super stressful because there is so much to photograph no matter which part of Iceland you are visiting.
